Good to know
- The wage for the award is the “actual wage” (basic plus regular allowances). Commissions and similar variable pay may be excluded if agreed.
- Article 87 gives the full award to a worker who leaves due to force majeure, and to a female worker who resigns within six months of marriage or three months of giving birth.
- Under Article 80, a worker dismissed for listed serious misconduct may lose the award.
- The 2025 amendments (in force from 19 February 2025) mainly changed the resignation procedure; the award formula in Articles 84–85 is unchanged.
- Payment is due within one week of the end of the contract, or two weeks if the worker resigned (Article 88).

Do women get the full award when resigning after marriage?
Yes, if she resigns within six months of the marriage contract or within three months of giving birth (Article 87).
Does a fixed-term contract change the calculation?
