Good to know

  • Non-Kuwaitis in government service are usually on contracts approved by the Civil Service Commission, and some entities apply their own internal regulations.
  • Kuwaiti employees are covered by the social security pension system (PIFSS).
  • Ask your HR department for the written basis of the calculation.

Questions

Is government indemnity the same as Law 6/2010?

Not necessarily. Law 6/2010 governs the private sector. Government contracts follow civil-service rules and the contract itself.
